8th Annual Ropin Pen Party and Celebrity Roping
8th Annual Ropin' Pen Party, Trent Willmon Celebrity High Stakes Roping,
& Silent Auction
Date: Thursday, June 6th, 2013
Place: Silver Dollar Saloon
110 2nd Ave. N
Nashville, TN
Time: 4:30-5:30 sign up for preliminary roping
5:30-7:30 preliminary roping
7:30-8:30 celebrity roping
8:30-10:30 main stage for music
5:00-8:15 silent auction of celebrity items
The roping format will be a little different this year. We are going to have a Preliminary roping that will consist of no more than 15 headers and 15 heelers. It will be a Round Robin format. The format will be a 3-head roping, progressive on 1. Entry fee: $125 per roper. The dummy that we will be using this year is the Super Goat from Heel-o-matic. Check it out at www.heelomatic.com We will be giving away lots of great prizes in this roping as well as giving each roper the chance to qualify to partner up with one of the Celebrity Ropers for the Celebrity Roping. Based on the number of celebrities that we have, we will take the top ropers from the Preliminary roping to partner up with them. We will be giving away some great looking belt buckles for the Celebrity roping as well as "bragging rights"!
We are going to take pre-entries for the Preliminary roping so if you are wanting in, we need to hear from you. Please call Michelle at 615-456-9855 and get entered. For all of you locals, this event is happening during CMA MusicFest so be prepared for the crowds downtown. Make sure you come early and allow yourself time to get there and get your entry fees paid!
This year we will be having a Silent Auction with lots of celebrity items. Please come prepared to bid on some of these fabulous items. We are raising money for The Wounded Warrior Project this year so know that all of the money will be going to a great cause!
